About... Camp Canine Customers

Camp Canine works hard to make sure all campers get what they need when they come for a visit. The true testament to our success, however, is the smiles on the faces of the dogs and the comments we receive from the people who love them. Here are a few notes that we'd like to share with you.

We love Camp Canine !!!!! We adopted Maggie, a young Australian Shepherd mix two years ago. About that same time, our neighbor told us about "Camp Canine". I went to check it out and absolutely fell in love with all of the people that make the camp hum each and every day. Maggie, of course, loves it. She goes to day camp twice a week and when we travel, I never have to worry that she is scared of not being home. I think that is what makes it a great place . . . it is a home away from home.

Thank you all for the peace of mind that you give me and Maggie. You are the BEST!

I deeply appreciate the professional care you give our pet and have recommended your services to all of my friends! Thank you for all you do to make our pet's stay a pleasant one (sometimes I think she has a better vacation than we do!

Thank you all so much again, Elsa obviously had a wonderful time this past weekend, she's passed out on the back porch! We love bringing her to all of you! Thanks as always, Camp rocks!

Thank you for all you have done for us! Monty has been in over a dozen Day Care facilities in 4 states and no one comes close to comparison to you all. Your staff is among the most professional and highly trained staff I have ever encountered and the facility is far and away the most dog friendly facility I have had the pleasure of taking Monty to. Besides your great staff and care for Monty, I chose your facility because you are not a franchise and appreciate knowing you are on site and have a vested interest in the health and well being of the animals. You have always been there to answer my questions and concerns and help me when the need arises. The level of training you require of your staff is impressive and puts me at complete ease when Monty is in your care.

Dear Suzanne:
Just wanted to take some time and thank you and your entire staff for all you do. Our family consists of Mom, Dad and 6 furkids. As you can imagine, traveling with this crew is out of the question. And - since most have some sort of physical or emotional limitation, it's not easy to find some place where they can be safe, cared for, and loved - almost like home.

We've been customers since (gasp!) 1996 and have consistently been thrilled with the care, but more importantly the staff. Your turnover is very low - meaning that my dogs have developed relationships with many of the counselors. They know them and watch for signs that they are 'off', or notice when they are doing better. I never worry about them getting their food, or their (many) medications. I can gladly say that Camp Canine was the only "kennel" my perfect dog Crunch knew for his entire life with me. He was a lucky boy and your care and kindness helped me when I lost him to cancer late last year.

Their schedules are similar to home, meaning that they have no potty or "time" issues when they come home. they get to spend time together outside, or laying around in the halls as a pack and no one is in a "cage" - as they are not in them at home either.

It means so much to me to have a place where my animals will be cared for and safe and that I can travel without guilt or worry. They love to spend time with you - and I truly enjoy bringing them to camp.

Lastly, your philosophy on dog ownership, responsibility, helping dogs through training and rescue is the MAIN reason that I will be a Camp member for many more years. Thank you again for providing such a great place for my "kids".

See you soon!

Spencer Hope loves Camp Canine because of the great companionship he gets from his friends and counselors. Spencer has always been an outgoing social lab since he was a baby. He had attention full time from my stay at home husband for 8 years. But after my husband died of lung cancer in 2005, there was no one at home to keep Spencer company. He was alone in the house until I picked up my two sons from after-school care and came home. Spencer gets to go to camp when we are away because he craves the social time is too old to travel now. Whenever he goes to camp he comes home acting like a much younger dog. I call Camp Canine Spencer's Fountain of Youth. I truly believe Spencer is as healthy as he is and is enjoying his senior years in part because of the care, attention, and socializing he gets at Camp Canine. We love you Camp Canine.

Spencer and the Hope Family
